As Advanced Gauging Technologies continues to grow and evolve we realize just how capable every one of our employees are. One of our Service Technicians, Kevin Gee will be transitioning into a dual role of both service and sales as a Technical Sales Specialist. Kevin loves to travel the country which is excellent for servicing out customers we have nationwide. Now he will also be reaching out to new companies during his travels to help A.G.T. to provide customers with the best non-contact thickness measurement gauges on the market.

A.G.T. Ships New Pipe and Pole System to McWane Ductile!

Advanced Gauging Technologies has just shipped a new AGT800 Pipe and Pole System to McWane Ductile in Coshocton, Ohio. This is the second system they have ordered in the last two years. McWane Ductile produces cast iron pip and poles up to 16 feet long.

This is a unique application that uses two opposing C-frames to oscillate in and out of opposite sides of the pipe being inspected. Our system will be installed after the pipe an pole cast line and will be used to accurately measure wall thickness. A.G.T. understands no two customers are the same, and because of that we have put a focus on being able to provide custom solutions for applications such as this.

New AGT800 Startup at Steel Technologies in Smyrna, TN!

Advanced Gauging Technologies has completed the startup of a new AGT800 laser thickness gauge at Steel Technologies in Smyrna, Tennessee. The custom built C-frame is specifically designed for use on their 84″ Braner slitter. This laser thickness gauge is used to measure aluminum and various steel alloys with a thickness range of .009″ to .187″. Our AGT800 will allow Steel Technologies to continually meet customers strict thickness specifications by providing extremely accurate non-contact thickness measurement.

Fulton County Processing Purchases New AGT800 from A.G.T.!

Advanced Gauging Technologies has received a purchase order for a new AGT800 Laser Thickness Gauge from Fulton County Processing in Delta, Ohio. This system will be used on a 72″ Alcos slitting line to measure carbon steel from 0.049 to 0.500″. Fulton County currently operates five A.G.T. gauges they have purchased from us. They are running three AGT400’s on various slitting lines and an AGT800 on a Nelson pickle line. The addition of a second AGT800 will continue to ensure they are receiving the most accurate non-contact thickness measurement available.
