AGT400 Startup at Ohio-Kentucky Steel!

Advanced Gauging Technologies has just completed the startup of a brand new AGT400 at Ohio-Kentucky Steel in Franklin, Ohio. This is their first thickness gauge purchase so we are excited to be working with them!

We installed their AGT400 on a 76” Stamco Slitting Line where it is measuring various steel alloys including galvanized steel from 0.20” to 0.125”. Slitting lines are ideal for the AGT400 because even if the passline has quite a bit of variance, the gauge can still provide the most accurate thickness reading it is capable of.

Even if this were an extremely dirty environment the AGT400 would have no problem continuing to perform accurately. It’s impervious to dust, oil mist and any other contaminants that may be in the air. It’s just one more way A.G.T. is providing the best thickness gauging systems on the market to ensure no matter what you do, it’s #MeasuringMadeEasy.

New AGT800 Startup at Carpenter Technologies!

Advanced Gauging Technologies just completed the startup of a new AGT800 Laser Thickness Gauge at Carpenter Technologies on their 18” Wet Grinding Line in Reading, Pennsylvania. They are running stainless steel, high nickel alloy, and cold worked steel on this line.

Carpenter is gaining a great deal of benefits from this gauge as it allows them to determine thickness without stopping their line to take hand mic measurements. Now they are able to take thickness data and make changes further back in their line as soon as the gauge indicates that they are out of tolerance. That means less downtime and higher productivity. It’s a win-win every way you look at it!

Ohio-Kentucky Steel’s New AGT400 Ships!

Advanced Gauging Technologies just shipped a brand new AGT400 Isotope Thickness Gauge to Ohio-Kentucky Steel in Franklin, Ohio. This is their first gauge purchase so we are excited to begin working with them as new customers.

This AGT400 will soon be installed on their 76” Stamco Slitting Line where it will measure various steel alloys including galvanized steel from 0.020” to 0.125”. Slitting lines are ideal for the AGT400 as in many cases the passline can have quite a bit of variance. The AGT400 is indifferent to this and will still provide the most accurate thickness measurement possible.

Even in extremely dirty environments the AGT400 will perform flawlessly because it is imperious to dust, oil mist and other contaminants that may be in the air. Just one more way A.G.T. is providing the best thickness gauging systems on the market, and then some.
