Charter Steel is adding an AGT400 upgrade an obsolete GR200 thickness gauge. It will measure the thickness of various steel alloys on their 72” Braner Slitter.
Tarkett Orders First Two AGT800’s
Tarkett (Florence) has ordered two AGT800 laser thickness measurement gauges for their 60-inch tile line that processes material with thickness range of .012 up to .160. These systems were specifically designed to automate their calendaring and embossing processes.
AGT400 Installed At Thomas Steel Strip
Thomas Steel Strip (Warren) is now home to a new AGT400, replacing an obsolete LFE thickness gauge. Our AGT400 will measure gauge of HSLA, copper, brass, nickel and nickel-zinc alloys with a thickness range up to .079”.
First AGT600 Commissioned at WAVE
The first ever production AGT600 compact laser gauge has been commissioned at Worthington Armstrong Venture (WAVE) in North Las Vegas, NV. This newest edition to the A.G.T. family of gauges was installed on a Dallan rollformer and will be used to measure structural steel with a thickness range of .009 to .034”.
Feroleto Steel Orders Their Third AGT800
Feroleto Steel, Inc. (Bridgeport, CT) has ordered a new AGT800 Laser Thickness Gauge for use on an 18” Chicago Rolling Mill. It will feature a custom designed C-frame and be used to measure various steel alloys with a thickness range of .020 to .250”. This will be Feroleto’s third Advanced Gauging thickness gauge and the second AGT800 for the Bridgeport facility.
