Ternium Mexico Purchases AGT8000 and AGT Mult-With!

Ternium Mexico has just confirmed an order for a brand new AGT800 Laser Thickness Gauge and AGT Mult-Width Gauge! Ternium is Latin America’s leading steel producer and we are extremely excited to announce the start of this partnership.

Both gauges will be installed on a 60” Pro-Eco Slitting line that runs carbon steel. These gauges are able to work together, so Ternium will be able to determine not only the width of each mult, but also the thickness of each individual mult. And because mults will no longer need to be measured by hand Ternium will be able to improve their accuracy and greatly improve the efficiency of this line.

With our high quality gauging equipment and superior service you can trust that whenever you’re with Advanced Gauging, it’s measuring made easy.

National Galvanizing Orders a C-frame Upgrade!

Advanced Gauging Technologies has just received an order for a new AGT400 C-frame upgrade from National Galvanizing in Monroe, Michigan. Several years ago they purchased our AGT400 gauge but only opted for centerline measurement.

Their gauging requirements have changed and now it is critical that they get a thickness measurement across the entire width of the sheet. We provide the option to upgrade an existing centerline frame to an oscillating frame, however their gauge operates in a rough environment so they decided to replace the entire frame, cabling and all.

A.G.T. is always eager to help our customers when their accuracy requirements become stricter or their gauging requirement change. Our gauges are custom built and can fit almost any application to provide the most accurate and repeatable non-contact thickness measurement available. We stand by our products which are proudly made right here in the U.S.A. That’s #MeasuringMadeEasy.

AGT400 Startup at Steel Tech – Eminence!

Advanced Gauging Technologies has just completed the startup of an AGT400 C-frame Upgrade at Steel Technologies in Eminence, Kentucky! They replaced their old worn-out DMC C-frame with our new AGT400 C-frame to eliminate the hassles of DMC’s outdated technology. Steel Tech had already ditched their DMC electronics cabinet for this gauge and replaced it with our electronics cabinet several years ago. Based on how well our cabinet has been performing they knew it was the right time to upgrade the rest of the gauge.

They now have a completely upgraded system to ensure they are receiving the most accurate and repeatable non-contact thickness measurement available. Their customers can rest assured knowing they are receiving exactly what they paid for. That’s #MeasuringMadeEasy.
