National Galvanizing C-frame Upgrade Ships!

Advanced Gauging Technologies just shipped  a new AGT400 C-frame upgrade to National Galvanizing in Monroe, Michigan. Several years ago they purchased an electronics cabinet upgrade but elected to keep their centerline measurement C-frame in place.

Their gauging requirements changed and they need thickness measurements across the entire width of the sheet so we were able to provide them with a C-frame upgrade that would do just that. We also provided all new cabling, source, and detector head so they could have all of the best equipment available.

A.G.T. is always eager to help our customers when their accuracy requirements become stricter or their gauging requirement change. Our gauges are custom built and can fit almost any application to provide the most accurate and repeatable non-contact thickness measurement available. We stand by our products which are proudly made right here in the U.S.A. That’s #MeasuringMadeEasy.

A.G.T. Receives an AGT400 Order from Jemison Metals!

Advanced Gauging Technologies has just received an order for a brand new AGT400 from Jemison Metals in Sumpter, Alabama. This gauge is going to be installed on their 72” C-T-L  / Stretch Leveler line and will measure various steel alloys up to 0.321” with our Improved Resolution Detector Head.

The AGT400 is a rugged piece of machinery and can handle some of the most unforgiving conditions so this application is an easy fit for this gauge. This is Jemison’s third AGT400 at this location and their tenth AGT Thickness Gauge for all of their locations. The accuracy and reliability of our thickness gauges continue to be proven as Jemison is one of a great many companies that have at least two AGT Thickness Gauges or more!

A.G.T. Receives Two New AGT400 Orders from South Korea!

Advanced Gauging Technologies has just received two more orders for AGT400 Thickness Gauges from KSP Steel Company in Incheon, South Korea! We previously completed the startup of two AGT400s at this facility late last year and soon after they decided it was time to add more of our gauges.

Both new AGT400 C-frames will be installed on a 20-High Cold Rolling Mill that process mild steel, high carbon steel (CS), high carbon alloy and tool steel (SK). After these new AGT400s are installed KSP Steel can ensure they are providing the most accurate thickness measurement possible to further improve the quality and efficiency of their line. That’s Measuring Made Easy from A.G.T.!

A.G.T. Receives a New AGT800 Order from Carpenter Technologies!

Advanced Gauging Technologies has just received an order for a brand new AGT800 Laser Thickness Gauge from Carpenter Technologies in Reading, Pennsylvania! This gauge is going to be installed on an 18” wet grinding line and will be used to measure stainless steel, high nickel alloy and cold worked steel.

The befits of having this gauge are immense as it will allow Carpenter to determine thickness without stopping their line to take hand mic measurements. Instead, they can take our thickness data and make changes further back in their line as soon as our gauge indicates that they are out of tolerance. That means less downtime and higher productivity. It’s a win-win every way you look at it!
