A.G.T. Receives an AGT400 order from Jemison Metals!

Advanced Gauging Technologies just shipped a brand new AGT400 Isotope Thickness Gauge to Jemison Metals in Sumpter, Alabama! The gauge will soon be installed on their 72” C-T-L / Stretch-Leveler line and will measure various steel alloys up to 0.321” thick with our Improved Resolution Detector Head.

The AGT400 is a rugged piece of machinery and can handle some of the most unforgiving conditions so this application will be an easy fit for this gauge. The is Jemison’s third AGT400 at this location and their tenth AGT Thickness Gauge company wide. The accuracy and reliability of our thickness gauges continue to be proven as Jemison is one of a great many companies that have at least two AGT Thickness Gauges or more!

A.G.T. Ships a New AGT800 to Carpenter Technologies!

Advanced Gauging Technologies has just shipped a brand new AGT800 Laser Thickness Gauge to Carpenter Technologies in Reading, PA. The gauge will soon be installed on a 18” Wet Grinding line and will be used to measure stainless steel, high nickel alloy and cold worked steel.

The benefits of having this gauge are immense as it will allow Carpenter to determine thickness without stopping their line to take hand mic measurements. Instead, they can take our thickness data and make changes further back in their line as soon as our gauge indicates that they are out of tolerance. That means less downtime and higher productivity. AGT800 Thickness and AGT Mult-Width Shipped to Ternium in Mexico!

We just shipped a brand new AGT800 Thickness Gauge and AGT Mult-Width Gauge to Ternium Mexico for a startup that’s coming later this year! Ternium is Latin America’s leading steel producer and we are extremely excited for this partnership.

Both gauges will soon be installed on a 60” Pro-Eco Slitting line that runs carbon steel. These two A.G.T. gauges are able to work together so Ternium will be able to determine not only the width of each mult, but also the thickness of each individual mult.

Since the mults will no longer need to be measured by hand, Ternium will be able to improve their accuracy and greatly improve the efficiency of this line. National Galvanizing C-frame Upgrade Startup!

Advanced Gauging Technologies just completed the startup of a new AGT400 C-frame upgrade at National Galvanizing in Monroe, Michigan. Several years ago they upgraded their existing C-frame with an A.G.T. electronics cabinet as it served their needs at the time.

Their gauging requirements changed and when they needed to measure thickness across the entire sheet instead of just centerline as they had been doing, they knew it was time to upgrade their C-frame. We built them a new C-frame specifically for their application and also provided all new cabling, source, and detector head so they could have all the most up-to-date equipment available.

National Galvanizing is now up and running with their brand new C-frame and A.G.T. was happy to assist when their gauging requirements changed or even in instances when accuracy requirements become more strict. Our gauges are custom built and can fit almost any application to provide the most accurate and repeatable non-contact thickness measurements available. Ohio-Kentucky Steel AGT400 Order!

Advanced Gauging Technologies has just received an order for a brand new AGT400 from Ohio-Kentucky Steel in Franklin, Ohio. This is their first gauge purchase so we are excited to begin working with them as new customers.

This AGT400 will be installed on a 76” Stamco slitting line where it will measure various steel alloys including galvanized steel from 0.020” to 0.125”. Slitting lines are ideal for the AGT400 as in many cases the passline can have quite a bit of variance. The AGT400 is indifferent to this and will still provide the most accurate thickness reading possible.

Even in extremely dirty environments the AGT400 will perform flawlessly because it is impervious to dust, oil mist and other contaminants that may be in the air. Just one more way A.G.T. is providing the best thickness gauging systems on the market, and then some.
