Advanced Gauging Technologies Awarded U.S. Patent for AGT800 Laser Gauge

A.G.T. has been awarded a U.S. Patent on 13 out of 14 key claims for our AGT800 Laser Thickness Gauge after a year of review by the United States Patent Office. Patent No. 9151595 includes coverage of our revolutionary Passline Angle Compensation, C-frame Temperature correction (ISOtemp™), and methods of computing laser beam collinearity and beam angle factors.

A.G.T.’s focus has always been on its customers and throughout our history we’ve worked hard to develop new ideas for evolving thickness gauges to meet customer needs. The success of the AGT800 Laser Gauge, along with the U.S. Patent office’s confirmation of its innovative technology, is something that we are very proud of. Please visit the following link to the U.S. Patent Office for more detailed information.

AGT800 Gains Popularity with Service Centers

Our most popular gauging system this year, hands down, is the AGT800 Laser Thickness Gauge. Introduced late in 2013, this unique optical based gauge uses state-of-the-art Keyence laser sensors which are mounted on a C-frame above and below the strip to be measured.  Each sensor emits a class ll laser beam and receives the beam back on a RS-CMOS pixel array. The gauge determines the distance to the target material and precise material thickness is then calculated. Please contact our Sales Department for additional information or to schedule a visit to operate this gauge first-hand.
