New TCP/IP HMI Communication Option

Advanced Gauging is pleased to announce a new TCP/IP HMI Communication option for our AGT400 and AGT800 thickness gauges. This new option enables both gauges to accept a single TCP/IP streaming socket connection on a user defined port for the purpose of requesting information from the gauge or commanding certain actions to the gauge. The gauge software will then respond to a specific set of text commands by either performing the requested command or providing the requested information in real time. Current commands allow for the control of the C-frame, measuring and reporting functions as well as the ability to provide thickness, deviation, coil length, coil diameter, C-frame position and digital input status information.

Any client capable of sending and receiving text commands over a TCP/IP socket connection should be able to interface with the gauge software. The software will provide information in a text stream which can then be parsed to collect information in whatever way the client wishes to manipulate the data. Please note that each gauge must be individually licensed to support this feature. The gauge will then be able to accept one connection.

A.G.T. Company Cookout and Poker Party

Every year Advanced Gauging takes a day to celebrate the hard work of all employees. This year, we celebrated with a cook out and poker party. Employees participated in various roles that encouraged team work while also having fun. After feasting over grilled goodness, we enjoyed a game of Texas Hold’em for some friendly competition. If you remember a few years back, our President, Scott Cook flew to Las Vegas to play in the World Series of Poker. His experience showed as he came out on top after everything was said and done.  If you want to talk poker or thickness gauging, we have a few tips, so give us a call today!

New AGT400 Commissioned in Mexico

This gauge, located on a 72” Braner Slitter, is an upgrade to an obsolete Gamma Ray GR200. It is MISA’s second AGT400 at this location and their fifth overall.
