John Fearing, A.G.T.’s Senior Field Engineer, completed the startup of an AGT800 laser thickness gauge at Lee Steel in Romulus, Michigan. This state of the art technology will be featured on Lee’s new 74” Red Bud EPS pickle line.
We shipped another AGT800 Laser Gauge today that will be measuring steel with a thickness range of .055”- .375” on a 74” Red Bud EPS pickle line at Lee Steel’s new Romulus, Michigan facility. Lee will now have AGT400 and/or AGT800 thickness gauges at all three of their plant locations.
Fulton County Processing in Delta, Ohio has ordered a new AGT800 Laser Thickness Gauge for use on a Butech Bliss / Nelson Steel 74” Pickling Line. The application is for the processing of various steel alloys with a thickness range of .050” to .500”. This is Fulton’s fourth AGT thickness gauge order.
We started up our first AGT800 at Jemison Metals located in Trinity, Alabama. This gauge was sold to Butech Bliss and included as part of a 96” Stretch Leveler/Cut-To-Length line installed at their new facility. The AGT800 Laser Thickness Gauge will measure steel with a thickness range of .060” to .750” on this line.
