A.G.T. Ships Second AGT400 Thickness Gauge to South Korea!

Advanced Gauging Technologies has just shipped a second AGT400 Thickness Gauge to KSP Steel Company in Incheon, South Korea! This gauge will be installed on a 20-High Rolling Mill and will be used to measure various grades and thicknesses of stainless steel.

We are excited to be working with KSP Steel again and are happy to help them continuously improve their quality standards. As our footprint continues to expand outside of North America we will always provide the best non-contact thickness gauges available so that whatever you do, it’s measuring made easy.

A.G.T. Completes an AGT800 Startup for PlatePlus in Granite City, Illinois!

Advanced Gauging Technologies often works with OEM line manufacturers to implement thickness gauges onto lines before they are installed. Because we work with these manufacturers directly, they are able to design their lines with the perfect location for one of our thickness gauges.

This was just the case with PlatePlus Inc. in Granite City, Illinois. They recently had a brand new 78″ Cut-To-Length line installed from one of our OEM line manufacturing partners. Long before it was ever installed, they knew it would be extremely beneficial to have an AGT800 Laser Thickness Gauge on their line. We worked with the OEM to ensure our gauge could be implemented flawlessly and after completing the startup this week, that was certainly the case.

The AGT800 on this new line will be measuring HRS and HRSPO from 36″ to 78″ and will provide the most accurate non-contact thickness measurement available.

New AGT400 Startup at Steel Technologies de Mexico!

Advanced Gauging Technologies has just completed the startup and training for a brand new AGT400 at Steel Technologies de Mexico in Pesqueria, NL! This gauge is installed on a 54” slitter and measures various CR, HR, HRPO, Galvanized and Galvalume materials with a thickness range from .006” to .040” thick.

As a leader in non-contact thickness gauging we’re happy to have supplied Steel Technologies with more than 30 A.G.T. Thickness Gauges to date. We look forward to working together and growing our relationship for many years to come. That’s #MeasuringMadeEasy.

Steel Technologies in Eminence, KY Orders an Upgrade!

A.G.T. has just received an order for an AGT400 upgrade from Steel Technologies in Eminence, Kentucky. They are upgrading their old and outdated DMC C-frame to our brand new AGT400 C-frame. Steel Tech has already ditched their DMC electronics cabinet for this gauge and replaced it with our electronics cabinet several years ago. Based on how well our cabinet has been performing they knew it was the right time to upgrade the rest of the gauge.

By installing a new C-frame Steel Technologies will now have an entirely new system to ensure they are receiving the most accurate and repeatable non-contact thickness measurement available. And their customers can rest assured that they are receiving exactly what they paid for. That’s #MeasuringMadeEasy.

John Fearing Celebrates 20 Years at Advanced Gauging Technologies!

We want to congratulate our Field Service Coordinator, John Fearing on 20 years of service here at Advanced Gauging Technologies! John has been involved with the gauging industry ever since he graduated college when he began his career at Weston Control Systems. Over the years this company was bought out and changed names several times but John never stopped working on the service side of gauging.

In the time since John began working, he has been to multiple countries such as Russia, France, and Spain to complete service and startups. Then way back in the year 2000 he was contacted by A.G.T. with an opportunity he couldn’t pass up. 20 years later and John continues to be an asset to the company and the gauging industry. We don’t know what we would do without him!
