AGT400 Startup at Jemison Metals!

Advanced Gauging Technologies has completed the startup of a new AGT400 at Jemison Metals in Birmingham, Alabama. This system will be used on a 61″ Rowe CTL line to measure various steel alloys up to .250″ thick. With the installation of this gauge Jemison Metals will be able to reduce downtime, improve efficiency, as well as provide the most accurate and reliable non-contact thickness measurement available. Jemison has been a long time customer of A.G.T. and this will be their eighth gauge purchase from us.

A.G.T. Ships New Pipe and Pole System to McWane Ductile!

Advanced Gauging Technologies has just shipped a new AGT800 Pipe and Pole System to McWane Ductile in Coshocton, Ohio. This is the second system they have ordered in the last two years. McWane Ductile produces cast iron pip and poles up to 16 feet long.

This is a unique application that uses two opposing C-frames to oscillate in and out of opposite sides of the pipe being inspected. Our system will be installed after the pipe an pole cast line and will be used to accurately measure wall thickness. A.G.T. understands no two customers are the same, and because of that we have put a focus on being able to provide custom solutions for applications such as this.

New AGT800 Startup at Steel Technologies in Smyrna, TN!

Advanced Gauging Technologies has completed the startup of a new AGT800 laser thickness gauge at Steel Technologies in Smyrna, Tennessee. The custom built C-frame is specifically designed for use on their 84″ Braner slitter. This laser thickness gauge is used to measure aluminum and various steel alloys with a thickness range of .009″ to .187″. Our AGT800 will allow Steel Technologies to continually meet customers strict thickness specifications by providing extremely accurate non-contact thickness measurement.

New AGT400 Upgrade Startup at Harvard Coil Processing!

Advanced Gauging Technologies has completed the startup of a new AGT400 Upgrade at Harvard Coil Processing in Cleveland, Ohio. This upgrade replaced an outdated GR200 thickness gauge and is installed on a 76″ Braner slitting line that measures various steel alloys up to .250″ thick. By replacing their outdated thickness gauge with a new AGT400 upgrade, Harvard will be able to reduce downtime, improve efficiency, as well as provide the most accurate and reliable non-contact thickness measurement available.
