Allied Tube & Conduit Corp. Receives New AGT400 Thickness Gauge

Allied Tube & Conduit Corp. has received their AGT400 Isotope Thickness Gauge. Their gauge shipped to them on April 10th, 2025. This gauge will be used on their 72″ ProEco Pickle Line to measure various steel alloys with a thickness range of 0.050″ and 0.200″.

Allied Tube & Conduit Corp.’s AGT400 includes an oscillating C-Frame to scan back and forth through the entire width of the web, further ensuring accuracy and consistency in their measurements. Upon starting the new thickness gauge up, Allied Tube will enjoy increased productivity and vastly lowered downtime on their pickle line.

Two New AGT400s Shipped to California Steel Industries

On March 27, 2025, California Steel Industries received two brand-new AGT400s for their 52.5″ #2 CGL line. They’ll be measuring various steel alloys.

These two AGT800s will be the company’s seventh and eighth gauges they’ve purchased. AGT is excited to continue working with California Steel and provide them with reliable, durable measuring tools. Not only will our gauges efficiently measure CSI’s material, but it will do so safely and accurately, while minimalizing downtime.

Mill Steel Starts Up AGT400 Upgrade

Mill Steel has completed the upgrade process for their obsolete GR100 Isotope Gauge. Now, Mill Steel will enjoy the benefits of a fully operational AGT400, complete with upgraded electronics and data storage.

Our AGT400 Isotope Thickness Gauge is capable of measuring various metals. For coil processing lines such as slitters, CTL, galvanizing, and pickle lines, the AGT400 is an excellent solution for measurement needs. Mill Steel will enjoy a great return on investment by re-using some of their obsolete gauge and upgrading it to an AGT400!

Mill Steel of Melvindale Completes Two AGT400 Upgrades

We at Advanced Gauging Technologies are proud to announce the startup of two AGT400 Isotope upgrades in Mill Steel’s Melvindale plant. One upgrade is on their #79 line, and the other is on the #74 line. Mill Steel has worked with us on upgrading many of their obsolete isotope gauges, and has enjoyed consistent service, inspections, and accurate results.

Aside from the precise and reliable readings expected from all of our products, the AGT400 Isotope Thickness Gauge is notably resilient to any harsh conditions found in a plant. Whether it be on a pickling line, slitter, or rolling mill, our AGT400 will continue to work with the same quality that all of our customers have come to expect. Steel Technologies Completes an AGT800 Startup in Portage, IN

Steel Technologies of Portage, Indiana has completed their startup for a brand-new AGT800XT Laser Thickness Gauge. This gauge will be located on a 72″ Fagor slitting line, measuring various steel alloys.

Steel Technologies has been a longstanding customer of ours, and will continue to reap the benefits of our many products. With an AGT800XT Laser Thickness Gauge, they will be able to measure steel thickness without needing to slow or stop production, and will have access to data collection and storage for all of their measurements. The gauge stores SPC information either onto a disk or network drive, which boosts efficiency and removes the clutter of paper storage. With this investment, Steel Technologies is investing in their own long-term success.
