Feralloy Purchases AGT800XT and Width Gauge

Feralloy Corporation of Ghent, Kentucky has recently purchased an AGT800XT and Width Gauge add-on for their Butech CTL line.

These gauges will be measuring HR, PO, and GV once started up, and will measure a thickness range of 0.035-1.000″. Both gauges will be able to communicate with their PLC, providing both digital and analog outputs and receiving commands from higher-level systems. This way, if material measures out of tolerance, the line will stop, reducing the amount of waste greatly. by purchasing both a thickness and width gauge, Feralloy is efficiently improving upon their productivity, product quality, and operator safety by removing the need to hand-measure.

Startup Complete at Voss Taylor

This week, our technicians have completed the startup with Voss Taylor for their new AGT High-Precision Width Gauge. This gauge was installed onto their custom pickling line and will measure various types of steel alloys.

Now that the gauge is started up, Voss Taylor will enjoy more accurate measurements while our gauge takes up minimal space on the line. Now, both Voss Clark and Voss Taylor are utilizing our AGT Width Gauge on their pickling lines. Both built to fit onto any line and built to last, our AGT Width Gauge is a great investment for any company looking to save time, money, and material.

Cleveland Cliffs Purchases AGT Width Gauge

Cleveland Cliffs’ Columbus Coating facility has completed the purchase of one AGT Width Gauge. This gauge will be installed onto their custom galvanizing line, measuring between 36 and 72″ sheet widths.

This gauge will be replacing an obsolete Harris Scan-a-Line Width Gauge. Our AGT Width Gauge sets itself apart from the competition with its conical lasers, requiring no backlights or emitters. This allows the gauge to easily fit onto a wide variety of processing lines. Additionally, due to our software’s method of calculations, the AGT Width Gauge has virtually no maximum width reading! By purchasing our AGT Width Gauge, Cleveland Cliffs is dedicating itself to remaining on top of their contemporaries, reducing downtime and increasing accuracy for their products.
