Pole and Pipe Wall Thickness
Our revolutionary laser thickness measuring equipment has recently been installed at a pole and pipe manufacturing plant in eastern Ohio. This system is complete with two gauges that will work in sync with one another to measure the wall thickness of long length pipes and poles. This puts McWane Ductile at the forefront of precision and quality in the industry.
Another AGT800 To Canada
Concord Steel Centre Ltd. (Woodbridge, ON) will receive an AGT800 Laser Thickness Gauge for use on a 60” Pro-Eco slitting line. This thickness gauge will replace an obsolete Weston 5310 isotope thickness gauge which will be decertified in Canada January 2017. This revolutionary laser gauge will measure steel up to .270”. Installation is scheduled for November.
Measuring System For Pole and Pipe Wall Thickness Ships
Two measuring systems which will work in sync with one another and measure the wall thickness of pipe/pole has been shipped to Coshocton, Ohio. McWane Ductile purchased this revolutionary new laser measuring equipment in order to raise quality standards in the industry. Commissioning of the gauges will happen later this month.
Laser Gauge Measures Vinyl
An AGT800 has been installed on a vinyl sheeting extrusion line in North Carolina. The laser gauge will measure thickness of material produced on this line comes in various colors up to .500”.
