Mill Steel in Jeffersonville, Indiana received their second upgrade this year. Our AGT400 gauger will replace an obsolete ESC thickness gauge. This AGT400 will be on a 72” Herr-Voss slitting line and measure thickness with a range of .010” – .135”.
Lee Startup
John Fearing, A.G.T.’s Senior Field Engineer, completed the startup of an AGT800 laser thickness gauge at Lee Steel in Romulus, Michigan. This state of the art technology will be featured on Lee’s new 74” Red Bud EPS pickle line.
Gauger Goes To Mill
Via YRC Freight, an AGT400 is in transit to Mill Steel in Jeffersonville, Indiana. This is an upgrade to a BSK gauge that will be located on a 72” Pro-Eco slitting line.
National Material Processing Places Additional Order
National ordered an AGT400 to upgrade another obsolete GR200 thickness gauge. They will now have our gauging systems at four different plants in four different states.
Mill Upgrades Again

Laser Gauge Goes To Lee Steel
We shipped another AGT800 Laser Gauge today that will be measuring steel with a thickness range of .055”- .375” on a 74” Red Bud EPS pickle line at Lee Steel’s new Romulus, Michigan facility. Lee will now have AGT400 and/or AGT800 thickness gauges at all three of their plant locations.

AGT400 Ships To Heidtman Steel
An AGT400 was shipped today to Heidtman Steel for use on a 78” Alcos Slitter at their new East Chicago location. Heidtman will now have AGT400 thickness gauges at five different facilities.

Last week we shipped an AGT400 to Chicago, Illinois. Today, John Fearing started it up as an upgrade to an obsolete GR200. This gauging system is located on a 72” Pro-Eco Pickle Line at National Processing Company. They also have AGT400 systems at their Indiana, Pennsylvania and Nuevo Leon, Mexico facilities.

Valmont Industries (Valmont, Nebraska) accepts delivery of a new AGT400. This is Valmont’s first thickness gauge and is located on a 79” Herr-Voss Slitter.

Fulton Orders A Fourth A.G.T. Gauge
Fulton County Processing in Delta, Ohio has ordered a new AGT800 Laser Thickness Gauge for use on a Butech Bliss / Nelson Steel 74” Pickling Line. The application is for the processing of various steel alloys with a thickness range of .050” to .500”. This is Fulton’s fourth AGT thickness gauge order.
Mexico Adds New Plant And An AGT400
In coordination with Kentucky Steel Center, Aguascalientes Steel Coil Center in Mexico has opened its doors for hot rolled, cold rolled, galvanized and pickled steel on a 72” Sonada Slitter. Today, an AGT400 Isotope Thickness Gauge was shipped to complement this line. This will be the company’s fourth AGT400 system.
