A new AGT400 isotope gauge has been shipped to Almetals, Inc. in Wixom, MI. This gauge will be used to upgrade an obsolete DMC 410 located on their 36” Ruesch slitter. Benefits of an AGT400 upgrade include all new electronics, A.G.T.’s proprietary software and programming, and state of the art coil and S.P.C. reports along with advanced networking capabilities.
Feroleto Steel’s First AGT800 is Commissioned
Feroleto Steel in Bridgeport, CT has commissioned their first AGT800 Laser Thickness Gauge. It is located on a 62” Loopco Slitter and will be used to measure various steel alloys with a thickness range of .008” to .250”. This is the first of two AGT800’s purchased by Feroleto in 2015. The second system has shipped to their Weirton, WV facility and is scheduled to be commissioned in February.
Nova Steel’s Second AGT800 Commissioned
Nova Steel (Stoney Creek, Ontario), has commissioned their second AGT800 laser thickness gauge this year. A.G.T. completed the startup and training of the new gauge, located on a 74″ Pro Eco pickle line, the week of December 7th. Nova’s first AGT800, commissioned in February 2015, is currently used on a 60″ Pro Eco slitter.
A.G.T. SELECTED AS A BEST PLACE TO WORK
Advanced Gauging Technologies has been selected by Columbus Business First as a central Ohio area BEST PLACE TO WORK. A record 235 companies were nominated with selections based on the results of employee engagement surveys conducted by sponsor Quantum Workplace.
The award, announced at a special presentation luncheon in Columbus on November 12th, was accepted by Scott Cook, A.G.T. owner and President. All attendees were asked to keep their acceptance remarks to 10 words or less. Scott’s comments were “We encourage fun, health, communication, teamwork and world class products”. As a group we couldn’t have said it better. Advanced Gauging Technologies Awarded U.S. Patent for AGT800 Laser Gauge
A.G.T. has been awarded a U.S. Patent on 13 out of 14 key claims for our AGT800 Laser Thickness Gauge after a year of review by the United States Patent Office. Patent No. 9151595 includes coverage of our revolutionary Passline Angle Compensation, C-frame Temperature correction (ISOtemp™), and methods of computing laser beam collinearity and beam angle factors.
