McWane Ductile purchased this revolutionary new laser measuring equipment in order to raise quality standards in the industry. Commissioning of the gauges will happen later this month.

Both gauges were installed on a pickle line tandem cold mill (PLTCM) and are measuring steel with a thickness range of .030 to .200”. These gauges replaced obsolete Weston 3000 thickness measurement systems.
