Introduction |
Advanced Gauging Technologies (A.G.T.) was founded in 1997 by the father and son team of Ron and Scott Cook. Their goal was to bring isotope thickness gauging into the 21st century. In just over four years since the first AGT400 system startup, A.G.T. has sold more than 70 gauging systems – strong evidence that customers feel we have delivered tomorrow's gauging system today. In addition to our own gauges, we perform regular service on more than 300 of our competitors' gauges throughout North America. The Gauging Times™ is a quarterly newsletter designed to keep current and future customers up-to-date with the latest thickness gauging technology and features, along with services we offer. In each issue we'll share some of our system's unique capabilities, in addition to personal profiles, technical tips and glimpses of our future product development. |
Products and Alloys |
You can measure a wide variety of materials with modern AGT400 thickness gauges. Our extensive Product Menu also permits accurate overall thickness measurements of coated products. We accomplish what many competitive gauges cannot by using two separate calibration offsets in our Product Menu. Gain is used to compensate for different substrate densities or gamma ray absorption coefficients. Zero is used in a slightly different way to compensate for varying coating types. Operators simply click on the precalibrated Product to be measured (up to 25) and they get accurate thickness measurements – even with coatings!

World Class Service |
Advanced Gauging Technologies strives to excel in all areas of customer service. Here are some examples: Telephone TroubleshootingMost telephone calls to A.G.T. are returned on the same business day. There is no run-around, as the technician who returns your call is fully trained to provide the assistance you need. Since we regularly service more than 250 isotope thick ness gauges, you can be sure we have the knowledge to give the appropriate information and/or guidance over the telephone at no cost. Replacement Parts in StockWe stock 100% of the replacement parts for GR100, GR200, and AGT400 thickness gauges. And because we have upgraded so many of our competitor's older thickness gauges, we even have all the obsolete parts no longer available new. Pro-Rated TravelOccasionally, a broken gauge will require a visit by a Field Service Technician. If we have other service in your area, we will prorate your travel to save you money. |
